Dua Lipa was born 22nd august 1995, in London United Kingdom. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a several years of hard work. She put out a self-titled album in the year 2017. It climbed to the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles including Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked at number 6 within the United States. Lipa was honored with the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London she was born on the 22nd of August, 1995. By way of her maternal grandmother Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. Her family tree can be traced back to Peja, the Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar as well as sing under the guidance of her father Oda. He is the singer/guitarist who leads the Kosovan-rock band Oda. At home her father continued playing music which included his original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa started singing when she was five. At the age of nine she started learning to sing. Lipa has performed a cover of Don't Have You as well as Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube.
